Documentation of 3rd Great Grandparents????

I am trying to document the family of my 3rd Great Grandparents:

I have located Niels Larsen and Edel Sørensdatter and their family in

I find his son Søren Nielsen in the following:

For their daughter Anne Nielsdatter I find her in the 1834 Viborg Census http://www.danishfamilysearch.com/cid2389627


I have been unsuccessful in finding any other documentation such as Birth, Confirmation, Marriage and the death of the children.

Can anyone give me suggestions as to where I might look? I have gone through the Balle, Hids, Viborg register for the period of 1749-1813 and missed it. I choose Balle because that was where all of the events that I have indicated Balle as a prime location.

Any guidance would be appreciated....Thank you....

Sadly, the records for Balle/Gødvad before 1790 are very fragmentary.  Some of the baptisms from 1742-1790 were noted on 'loose pages' that were then copied to folios 117b-134b, opslag 76-xx. 

As they were gaardfolk Edel may have come from a neighboring parish and been married there.  Other primary sources of family relationships are in the probates and tingbøger. 

Where the parish registers are weak, a greater effort has been made to extract data from the probates.

When you look at

it's written under Balle Sogn: Døbte 1742-1790 (Optegn. om saadanne i Gjødvad Sogn*) at page 117-134b.
   *Records about such in Gjødvad p.

But on these pages are only people from Gjødvad parish !
So it seems that baptism records from Balle parish before 1790 do not exist.
Looking in the records after 1790 reveals Søren Nielsen and his wife from Hvinningdal as witnesses several times in the 1790ies.
And personally I think that both their children were born there.

Thank you for your feedback.

I have been able to locate and document the birth as well as find the confirmation of 6 children for this couple in the Balle area. All after 1811.

Their first child was born in 1811 and died in 1812, both events documented.
