I am trying to find the birth record of the husband of a great aunt of mine. His name was Christen Launtzen Lund or it could be Christen Lauritzen or Kresten Lauritzen Lund. He was born 6 July 1893. Census records and U.S. church records only list his birth place as Denmark but his World War 1 draft registration card lists his birth place as Kastrup – town, Slesvig – state, Germany – nation. I am assuming Kastrup would be in that part of Jutland that was under control of Germany/Prussia after the Second Schleswig War. I have searched for Kastrup in Jutland and Germany but the only Kastrup I can find is the airport area in Copenhagen. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Paul

Thank You for your help!

Would there also be a civil record? If there is where would I find it?

In column 6 you will find the date on the certificate from "Standesembedsmanden", the civil registration authority.
