I am seeking my 3rd Great Grandmother's Death/Burial entry.

She was born in Dover, Hjemslev, Skanderborg 24 Jul 1792: 1786-1814 Dover Hjelmslev Skanderborg img 36 pg 34-#4th entry

She left Dover and arrived in Aarhus in 1822

She married Erich Lindhard Thomassen Weis on 3 Dec 1823: 1822-1828 Aarhus Domsogn Hasle Aarhus img 225 pg 243-#62

She is in the 1834, 1840 and 1845 Census for Aarhus. The 1845 Census location is the Hospitalsbygnin, Aarhus, Hasle: http://www.danishfamilysearch.com/cid4925314. Her daughter are with her, they are: Maren Weis # 6693 & Woldborg Weis #6694.

I am not exactly sure what their living in the Hospitalsbygnin means?????

I do not find her in the 1850 Census for Aarhus so I surmised she may have died after 1845 but do not find a entry for her Death/Burial in the 1845-1852 Aarhus Domsogn nor 1845-1877 Aarhus Vor Frue parish registers.

Does anyone have any insight where I might further search for the Death record?

Thank you.....

At Waldborg's confirmation she is at stiftelsen, 'the institution', probably the same one as in 1845.  There is a notation after the mother's name that I haven't figured out.

The record is in the 1844-1851 kontra book, 291 #3 of October 1, 1848.

Do you have Waldborg placed in 1850 or 1855?  Her mother may have been able to follow her.

The story about the "hospitalsbygn = hospitalsbygning

More than 1000 years' history Church of Our Lady from this homepage http://s3.kirkeweb.dk/sites/aarhusvorfrue.dk/3i1_flyer_uk.pdf

Principal dates:

930 King Frode's (wooden church) Holy Trinity
Church burnt down 1051

1060 The Crypt Church is built and shortly afterwards
the Church of St. Nicholas, which is the city's
first Cathedral

1240 The Dominican monks begin to build a new
Church of St. Nicholas and a monastery.
The Crypt Church is used as the Parish Church

1541  The monastery becomes a hospital for the sick
and the poor. St. Nicholas's Church is named the
Church of Our Lady and becomes the Parish
Church. The Crypt Church is no longer used
as a Parish Church, and becomes redundant

1888  The Dominicans' earlier Chapter House is
consecrated as the Hospital Church.
Later it is named the Abbey Church

1957 The Crypt Church is rediscovered in 1955
and restored. It was consecrated as a Church
on November 10th 1957

2000 The Abbey Church is reconsecrated after
restoration, including the installation of
the east window by Per Kirkeby

2003 A new organ is built in the Abbey Church

2006  The great bell in the tower of the Church
of Our Lady is replaced
