Hi, wondering if anyone could take a stab at translation of cursive all the way to the right on
Niels Larsen's Hovedrulle entry.

He is number 31.  Right page.  I believe born in Hammelmose Tise Sogn.  His 1793 entry confirms this
(opslag 161)

Opslag 181

Thanks to anyone trying!

Hi Kurt

No 31 Niels, son of Laurs Nielsen, born in Manna, 32 y.o. proofed (age?)
Hight 64 inches  Hammelmose served 1 year*
                                 Rejected caused to leg injury
                                 Now fit for service

* I see that Hammelmose is a home farm in Tise parish, Hjørring amt.
So he probably served there for a year.

Thanks Ole, so his 1793 record says born in Manna then Hammelmose for location as well.

Can the last couple of words on the right be translated?

Niels Larsen is number 31.

Maybe Dismissed?

Thanks!

Thyge Larsen

I says: "Served 1 year" - meaning that he was soldier for a year.

That is the same as above: served one year (at Hammelmose).
So no new info here.
I just Saw Thyge's answer, which I don't think is correct.
If he had been a solder, there would be a notice about his regiment.

Looking around in these early rolls I see sometimes written 'served .. year/s'.
So it possibly refers to having served as a soldier some years before the rolls started.
So Thyge might be right in his proposal.

Okay, yes I agree.  Here he is in the Tolstrup 1796 hovedrulle #179

Looks like he was dismissed in 1797?

Unsure of the reason to the right, maybe age limit (35)

I see that Niels Larsen was baptized 17.aug.1760, so he will automatically be deleted/striked out from the roll in 1796/97.
