missing church books

Is there an inventory of church records that would list ones that have been lost and are no longer extant?

Search the name of the parish and you'll find a list of the preserved registers.

That is helpful.  It mentions fires in the parsonage, so if church books don't exist today, that could be the reason.

Also thanks for suggesting that my ancestor could have been a summer tourist on Fanø in 1832.  That idea may have solved a problem I have had for many years.
