47 people in one household! What's up!

I was looking for Niels Rasmussen in the 1787 census and his name came up in a household of forty seven individuals and you could bring each individuals information up individually.,  Was this a particular kind of household or was the census just entered into the computer in an unusual way?

Unfortunately the census has not been formatted the right way in these early census - most of them is made after places.
in some of these You cam see where the family spilts by the maritual state
e.g. person 140 - 145 is one family

Look at the original source in Danish Family Search, and you'll see that there are 5 people in
family/household No 7 at the top of the page. Here's the transcription from ddd.dda.dk:

It appears that when the transcription was made of the original source that ALL of the families were grouped together based on either the street name or the farm land they worked and lived on. In this case "Nyebye", the prior set were "Gammelbye"

The original source image breaks the families out. In this situation your family is No 10
