I have just found the marriage record of Jens Kristian Nielsen in familysearch.org
Date: 21 Mar 1873
Place: Racine, Wisconsin
Birthplace is Solbg, Denmark
Father: Niels Kristiansen
Mother Maren Andersen Kristiansen
Jens might possibly be the brother to my gg grandmother Johanne Nilsen.
I have no other info than her parents names listed on her 1868 Racine marriage record which are the same as above for Jens.  She married Jens Chr. Mortensen and I have all his history (I think)smile.
I also just found a Danish church record that I have had listing a Maren J. Nilsen a member with 1 Baren. 
I'm not sure where Solbg is or what the full name is, but I'm so excited I may have found her place of birth if this is her brother.  I have searched for so long.
Any suggestions of where I should look.  I haven't been on the forum for several years now and some of the Danish sites have been updated.

I believe I found Solbjerg, Hellum Herred in Allborg.  Jens date of birth could be between 1846-1850?

I have been searching Dansk Demografisk Database in several parishes of Hellum for Niels Christensen, Jens Christian Nielsen and Maren Johanne Nielsdatter with no luck.

Thank you Paul.  I was unable to read the age of mother Maren Andersen.  I'm trying to find Jens Chr. Nielsen in a Wisconsin census seeing as he was married there in 1873.
Looking for any connection to Maren Johanne Nielsen who had the same parents names.
I believe you helped me years ago also.

I see that Niels and Maren are both 28 married in 1851 and listed in 1850.  I don't have my danish dictionary with me (it is at home in WI) unfortunately.  Maren, listed last in 1850 census, 29, is single?

Reading this it looks like this Maren Andersdatter is not Maren Johanne's mother as she was born 1845-1846.
I did find a death (11-5-1899 in Racine) record for Jens Chr. Nielsen and it listed his birth date as 5-14-1848
I was hoping to find Johanne listed in a census, but I didn't.  I've been searching other areas

One more question.  I  notice that the Jens' surname is spelled with a K and Kristian for Jens' middle name.  The father's last name is spelled Kristiansen.  Is that spelling common  along with the spelling Christiansen/Christensen spelling?
 
Kristiansen was also on the wedding record for Johanne.  I'm thinking this would be a way to distinguish between families.

The name Christian can be spelled witk K or Ch - the same is seen by the lastname - You can't decide it just from this.
