Question about income in 1916 compared to 2017.

The 1916 census asked about the amount of income a person received.  An ancestor's income was reported as 2500 Kr. 
Does anyone know how that compares to Kr. today and was 2500 Kr. a large income in 1916?

I think it might not be that correct, because the value also depends of the purchasing power of the money.
