Ric posted the birth entry from the Kontraministerialbog, which is supposed to be a complete copy of the Hovedministerialbog.  Beginning in 1814, 2 versions of the parish registers were made to guard against loss.  If you can't read one version very well, try the other.

The entry in the Hovedministerialbog isn't easy to read either, but here is my attempt to transcribe:

Thank you, Lis, Ralph and Lisa.  In both entries, I am wondering if the word after Peder Hansen is actually Daniel.  I would be interested in your opinions on this.  Here is my reasoning:

The family of Peder Hansen and Mette Kirstine Nielsdatter lived in Dame.  All of the children seem to have been born there.  The sources I have found so far are:

I can't read the word that comes after Peder Hansen's name but it doesn't seem to be Dame.  Also the pattern in this parish seems to be to list the name of the father and mother and then list where they are from which is true in this record.  This would suggest that the location Dame is not listed after both the father's and mother's names.

This seems to be the clearest spelling of Daniel but Hansen is not listed - just Peder Daniel.  The wife is the same and this couple is from Dame.

Others have done the work to put all of these children in the same family but it seems to be accurate as long as Peder Hansen and Peder Hansen Daniel are the same individual which I believe they are.

I am assuming that "Daniel" was added to distinguish him from another Peder Hansen.  There are a couple more in this parish at this time.  Does anyone have any other thoughts?  Anyway to find out more information?

Lisa reminded me that there are two records for these individuals.  I found in the second record of Hans that the father is listed as Peder Hansen Daniel where he is only listed as Peder Daniel in the first record.  That helps confirm this is the same person I think.
