Hello,

Soren Pedersen is the illegitimate child of Peder Jensen Falster and Ane Marie Sorensdatter Ravnsborg.  He is born 17 Nov 1816 Skjold, Vejle, Denmark.

Birth #5: https://www.sa.dk/ao-soegesider/en/billedviser?bsid=169298#169298,28430301

Is someone able to tell me what the far right column says?  It looks like it says she married 30 Nov?

Also, what is the significance of Ravnsborg as part of her name?  I looked in the place names database and I do not understand the results:

Ravnsborg, Birket, Lollands Nørre, Maribo

Ravnsborg, Ukendt, Bornholm lokalitet, Bornholm Kommune

Does this mean she was either born in Maribo, Denmark or Bornholm (as in the small island near Malmo, Sweden)?

Hello

This website

tells that Anne Marie Sørensdatter Ravnsborg, born 1793, was the daughter of Søren Nielsen Ravnsborg, who died 1814 in Klakring.

I have found more about the family here: https://www.brejl.dk/bjerre.html

Citat32 Afkald i Ringstholm i As sogn. 3.7.1821, side 79, 89.
Afkald fra Jørgen Sørensen 28 for arv efter bror Niels Sørensen og efter far Søren Nielsen i Ravnsborg ved FM: Valdemar Nielsen i Hornumkær, Iver Nielsen i Hornum.

33 Afkald i Hellebjerg Mølle. 3.7.1821, side 79, 90.
Afkald fra Jens Bredal Sørensen for arv efter bror Niels Sørensen og efter far Søren Nielsen i Ravnsborg ved FM: Valdemar Nielsen i Hornumkær, Iver Nielsen i Hornum.

34 Afkald i Ravnsborg. 3.7.1821, side 80, 90.
Afkald fra Anders Winther Sørensen for arv efter bror Niels Sørensen og efter far Søren Nielsen i Ravnsborg ved FM: Valdemar Nielsen i Hornumkær, Iver Nielsen i Hornum.

This tells that Anne Marie's 3 brothers in 1821 renounce the inheritance from their brother Niels Sørensen and their father Søren Nielsen in Ravnsborg.

Ravnsborg must have been a place (the family farm?) from which the family members took their surname.

If I google "Ravnsborggård, Klakring sogn" I get 2 results from MyHeritage. So there have been a farm called Ravnsborg/Ravnsborggård in Klakring Parish.

Ravnsborggård today:
adress Barritskovvej 23, 7130 Juelsminde
https://map.krak.dk/?c=55.711016,9.928176&z=13&q=%22ravnsborgg%C3%A5rd%22;geo

The right column says: "d. 30. Nov. confirmeret med Hoved Protocollen og sammes Overensstemmelse bevidnes."

This tells that on the 30th of November, the informations from this copy of the churchbook was compared with the other copy and they were identical. From 1814 there were 2 copies of all Danish churchbooks (because of the danger of fires etc.)

This is interesting:

Vejle, Bjerre, Barrit, Barrit Sogn, Skowhuuset Rawnsborg, 6, FT-1801, B9166

Navn:    Alder:    Status:    Stilling i familien:    Erhverv:    Fødested:
Søren Nielsen     38     Gift     Mand     Skowfoged samt Huusmand med Jord
Ane Marie Jørgensdatter     39     Gift     Hans Kone
Jørgen Sørensen     8     Ugift     Deres Børn
Niels Sørensen     6     Ugift     Deres Børn
Ane Marie Sørensdatter     4     Ugift     Deres Børn
Ane Kathrine Sørensdatter     2     Ugift     Deres Børn
Ane Rasmusdatter     35     Ugift     Tienestefolk
Jens Nielsen     25     Ugift     Tienestefolk - Mandens Broder
Maren Sørensdatter     56     Enke     Mandens Moder     Aftægts Kone

Søren Nielsen was a ranger, living in the "forest house Rawnsborg" in Barrit Parish.

So there must have been 2 places called Ravnsborg: a house in Barrit and a farm in Klakring. Probably very close to each other but in separate parishes.

This is the Kontraministerialbog kept by the parish clerk, the Hovedministerialbog was kept by the parish priest.

At http://www.krabsen.dk/stednavnebase/ you find a place called Raunsborg in Hedensted kommune.

https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hedensted_Kommune

- I chose the German version because it lists the parishes in Hedensted municipality.

At the time of Søren Pedersen's birth, his mother was staying with Skou Rider Helbech i Kiershuuset,
whose daughter Else Marie was Søren's godmother:

Thank you Henrik for all of that information.  I am making my way through all of it.

Thank you for all of that information Inger.

I looked at the Wikipedia page and was confused.  When I look at the map of Denmark here: https://www.dis-danmark.dk/kort/kort.htm I do not see Hedensted.  I do see a number of places on the German page (ie: Barrit, Glud, Klakring, etc) that I thought were part of (Bjerre), Vejle?

The map you looked at was current from 1793 until 1970. We had a municipal reform in 1970 and another one in 2007.
