In tracing my 3 GGF I located his final Lægd entry from Thisted 1833 H Hovedrulle Lægde Number 3/2

https://www.sa.dk/ao-soegesider/billedviser?epid=16481031#18650,1152560

I attached a copy of the entry hereto.

This one details much of the information regarding his military service.

I do not understand the abbreviations and significance of all of the entries. A transcription and translation would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance for any assistance..

Thank you Ole.

Is there by chance, a listing somewhere of the different military organizations?

Does the fact that it indicates that there was a Session 1834 and a Session 1835 mean that there was an evaluation conducted each year for a period of time to validate an individual's status?

At http://www.wadschier.dk/haeren-garnisoner-regimentschefer/   (The army, garrisons and chiefs) covers the infantery and cavallery. Try it.

And to your last question: Yes.
The records do not tell us, how long time he was called in as a soldier in 1812 and 1819.

Thank you Ole---I appreciate your feedback and information.

Were the men "active" in the military and then "de-activated" and returned home and possibly "re-activated" again over his life time?

We have the National Guard (sometimes referred to as week-end warriors) which individuals can join who are subject to being "called up" to active duty status for a period of time and then "de-activated" only to be called up again at some future time for crises, such as war, riots, national catastrophes, etc.

From 1774 the soldiers should go through a recruit school in 8 weeks and exercises of 5 weeks duration every second year.
The soldier were called 'landsoldat/landrekrut', and when not in service they could serve on the countryside as farm hands, often in the parish, where they were born.
They were still attached to the regiment and could be called in if necessary.

If you look at the levying rolls, you will in the top of each page see the name of this regiment, ex. 2JR 3/1.

This happened 200 years ago, so it was of course a bit different from today.

Thank you Ole.

I find this very interesting in that I served 4+ continuous years in the Military before completing my commitment.
