Recently discovered my lone Danish ancestor came from Ugledige By in Praesto, Denmark.  I would like to find out more about the town but dont seem to have much success with google (size over time, history, photos etc, is there a family history society there etc).  Also, is there an English translation for the word Ugledige.  Very many thanks.

Hi
Ugle = owl
dige = a hollow in the landscape
According to the book "Danske stednavne" by Bent Jørgensen, Ugledige means the hollow with the owls.

In 1789 there were 149 inhabitants in Ugledige, in 1901 the number had risen to 304 (censuses).
