Hi Claude

The surname in Denmark will always be the "last" name.

No. 1 on the page, Mathias Christian Appel - the surname here is "Appel".

No. 2 on the page, Nis Nielsen Ewald - the surname here is "Ewald", and the fathers name could be Niels, and therefore Nis name also includes "Nielsen" = Nis Nielsen Ewald.

No. 3 on the page, Jørgen Peder Mølleskov - the surname here is Mølleskov. married to Bodil Kristine Marie Johnsen, daugther of Rasmus Nissen Johnsen and Caroline Andrea Hansen, born in Lourup in the parish of Døstrup (Tønder amt) on the 4 of April 1877, baptish 8 of April 1877.

The total name of a person in Sønderjylland are some times difficult in the 1700's and 1800 hundreds.

My wifes step fathers name was Hans Nielsen Hansen, born 1884, but his fathers name was Hans Mathiesen Hansen, born 1852, and his fathers name again was Hans Nielsen Hansen, born 1820, and his fathers name again was Hans Mousten Hansen, born 1788 (his wife Maren Nielsen, and from her the name Nielsen surely came  :D).

Greetings
Christian

Thanks - Sorry I didn't note which groom on the page.  I guess I was so excited to find a record for Bodil after searching for a couple years that my brain temporarily turned to Jello.  Now, I must work to find out what happened to the groom.  Bodil is living with her mother and sister in Ribe on the 1901 census.  Thanks again, and OH!  GOOD MORNING!!!  Claude

Thanks Ingar - actually Bodil was born 4 April 1877.  It was so nice to find her.  I happened to see her name listed with a marriage date on the Haderslev name register...or whatever it is called.  I was looking at Mette Petra Johnsen and my decided to look at all the other Johnsens.  And, there was Bodil.  I have spent hours and hours and months and months looking for her!  Claude
