Denne Trolovelse blef ophævet ved Feste-Møens ustadige sind
----- og troløßhed, hvorfore hun skal give 2 mark til de Fattige, betalt.

The 2 last lines tell us, that their betrothal was abolished caused by the changable mind
and faithlessness of the betrothed woman, and she had to pay 2 marks to the poor, which she did.

Thanks, Ole.  That is very interesting.  I have not encountered a betrothal being cancelled before.  Her husband Rytter Hans Christiansen died in 1734.  She marries again in 1737.  Sounds like she almost got married before that.

Thank you.

Would it be unusual for a previously married woman to be serving someone else?  Within a short period of the death of Rytter Hans Christiansen, he has two children die.  I have not been able to find any other children.  Is it reasonable to suppose that all her (their) children had died so she was in a position to be able to serve someone else?  Or is that assumption wrong?
