Can anybody find a death record for Peder?  He was dead before 1901 census in Rlibe because his wife is listed as a widow.  Thanks, Claude

Haven't found PP's death record, but here are the census records for reference:

FT-1890, Ribe købstad: https://www.sa.dk/ao-soegesider/da/billedviser?bsid=62654#62654,12362504

FT-1901, Ribe købstad: https://www.sa.dk/ao-soegesider/da/billedviser?bsid=23422#23422,2702312

Inger:  Thanks.... would you translate just the line Carolyn Andrea Petersen is on?  Somehow, I thought she was a widow and now I'm wondering if he just left.  It is interesting that when her daughter was relating to the church about her mothers death she doesn't even mention being married to Peter Petersen....just the father of the kids, Rasmus Nissen Johnsen.  Thanks again for your help.  Claude

1890: PP and Caroline are no doubt married to eachother. Caroline born in Skærbæk, Slesvig and a housemother
1901:Caroline is a widow (E(nke)) and born in Døstrup, Nordschlesvig. Came to Ribe from Døstrup in 1898.
She is a housemother and as poor supported by the state.

Pehr Pehrson died in Linnet (Lindet), Arrild Parish, 24 Apr. 1898. Here in the index to civil registrations in Arrild:

https://www.sa.dk/ao-soegesider/da/billedviser?epid=18484558#237127,45121446 - left page, top

https://www.sa.dk/ao-soegesider/da/billedviser?epid=16521000#38115,5374785 - No 8

https://www.sa.dk/ao-soegesider/da/billedviser?epid=17216012#200909,38046818 - No 5 in 1898

- so maybe his widow Caroline Andrea and her daughters came to Ribe from Arrild (not Døstrup) in 1898?

Inger:  Thank you, thank you, thank you.  You did it again!  Now I know all of my grandfather Hanson's aunts, uncles, and cousins...plus when all of the aunts and uncles died.  And I'm sorry to say that neither he nor any of his children new any of the information.  It's a long story and someday I might bore you with it.  I am the first in the family to discover the Denmark connection.  My grandfather's father Niels Hansen was one of nine children born to Anders Hansen and  Karen Hansdatter.  Six of them were born in Dostrup and three in Skaerbaek.  I said I had information on all of them...actually i don't have much information on their first child, a daughter born in 1831.  But, more about her later.  I'm just so happy to have Carolyn Andrea's family information complete!   :D

He died in Linnet - "gemeinde Hønning", and the word "gemeinde" is the german word for "community".

Linnet could be that area that also could be the name of "Linnet Skov" = "Linnet Wood".

The place "Hønning" is normal seen, and a place in the parish of Arrild.

The area between Hønning and Skærbæk were with at lot of moor in the past - and my family at that time were diging for turf in the moor near Hønning.

My great grandfather Gregorius' brother Lars died in 1871 under a wagon in that moor, and therefore my great grandfather Gregorius Gregersen had to came back from Amerika to take over the farm in Ullerup. He was immigrated to Amerika in 1867.

To day there are an open prison in the area - between Skærbæk and Hønning.
