On my gggrandfather Anders Hansen's confirmation he is listed as Anders Andersen Hansen - I have always recorded him as Anders Hansen with no middle name.  I know his father was Hans Christian Andersen.  I would just like to know how I should officially record his name in my genealogy records.  Would appreciate your thoughts and would also like someone to translate the complete entry.  Thanks so much, Claude

In the other book at https://www.sa.dk/ao-soegesider/da/billedviser?bsid=169958#169958,28534168 left
easier to read
Same day and date (20.febr. 1803)
Anne Nielsdatters illeg. sons baptism confirmed in Bierre - Anders
Witn: Mads Jensens wife of N. Vejrup carried him, Hans Filter of Tinghuset, Niels Pedersen of N. Terp,
Jens Pedersen of Lykkesgaard, Anna Mortensdatter of Bierre and Soldier Xstians wife of Vibekborre
As putative father Hans Andersen* of Ødderup by, Toftlund parish
*in your link: also called Anders clog maker

When Anders at his confirmation is callled Anders Andersen Hansen, he gets Hansen from his fathers first name Hans,
and Andersen from his fathers surname.

Thanks Ole.  I guess I'm trying to find what we call in this country "his full legal name".  And, as far as I can tell, there is no thing as "a full legal name".  Am I correct?  I'm inclined to list him as Anders Andersen Hansen.  claude

Well Claude, I would call him Anders Hansen, and then in his biography mention, that he is also called Anders Andersen Hansen. at his confirmation.
In the levying rolls he is called Anders Hansen, ex. here in 1829
https://www.sa.dk/ao-soegesider/da/billedviser?epid=16481031#17939,946356 right
40 - 31 Ane Nielsdatters son Anders Hansen, born in Bierg, 26 yo, height 66" (1,72 m) Coast militia
The previous rolls tell that he had suffered from sudden faintings, which made him unfit as soldier.

Next 1833    https://www.sa.dk/ao-soegesider/da/billedviser?epid=16481031#17956,950903
he moves to lægd 99 no L68
https://www.sa.dk/ao-soegesider/da/billedviser?epid=16481031#17974,956724 right bottom
L68 - 58 in Døstrup - has lived at 'place' nr 28 since May 1835 ...etc

Gosh!  Thank you Ole - I'm glad I questioned - I am amazed that we can get a little more insight into an individual after all this time.  IYour efforts to help me are truly appreciated.  Claude
