Please forgive me if this is a duplicate post.  I just joined this morning and had difficulty with my 1st try because the attachment was too large.   I've resized it and am trying again.

My question is - on the (hopefully) attached Lægdsruller entry for Niels Christian Jensen, he obviously went to the US in 1872, but what are the dates after that (1875, 1878 and 1880) in reference to?

Thank you,

Jo Murphy

1875-77 didn't appear [for the draft board] § 13,3. Has emigrated to America in April 1872.
According to inquiries 1878 and 79 not returned. 1880 - [likewise].

Discharged 1/91 [because of age]

Thank you!  I knew that he emigrated to Racine Wisconsin, but as I have been unable to find him there ( or anywhere in the US) I was wondering if perhaps he had returned to Denmark as his brother did, even though the record did not seem to me to indicate that. But as I have a very, very, limited understanding of Danish I thought I'd ask in case I was missing something obvious.

Thanks once again,

Jo Murphy
