Good morning! My name is Jonelle and I am helping my mother Marlene Jacobsen to find out more about her Danish family history. I am writing from California USA and we are planning a trip in September to come to Ribe, Bredebro, Denmark to see where her Grandfather was born. We will be in Bredebro September 11 and 12, 2018. I know so little about him that I felt I should come to Ribe to help my mother discover more information. Christian was married two times and our family is from his second wife Inge Marie Hansen BIRTH 1831 • Bredebro, Sonderjylland, Denmark. Christian's son, Peter Christian Jacobsen is my mother's Grandfather.

It is doubtful that you will need an interpreter. I spent 17 days in Denmark this past January and did not meet a single Dane who didn't speak English. The people there are really wonderful.

No, the record only tells us, that she had given birth to 4 children, one of them deceased, and left behind her husband and 3 children:
