In the 1684-1816 Vester Brønderslev, Børglum, Hjørring records image 159 at the top of the right hand column 3rd entry under 1749.
https://www.danishfamilysearch.com/sogn370/churchbook/source27494/opslag5533610

for the 3rd entry I read:

d: 26 Oct {1749} ...??...
Poul Christens hustru
Christian Faxholms hustru

Are these death/burial entries?

If I am correct in thinking these are such, then this would be the death of Christen Sørensen Faxholm's wife Maren Jensdatter, who had a daughter Mette born 21 Sep 1749 {image 125, 12th entry} https://www.danishfamilysearch.com/sogn370/churchbook/source27494/opslag5533589

However, this conflicts with the birth of a later daughter Else, born 15 Aug 1762, found: 1684-1816 Vester Brønderslev, Børglum, Hjørring img 138 pg 133?-6th entry https://www.danishfamilysearch.com/sogn370/churchbook/source27494/opslag5533589

Christen Sørensen Faxholm was to have married a second time, this time to Kirsten Christensdatter and was suppose to have had two sons Christen born 1765 and a 2nd Christen born 1769. I have not documented these facts to date.

Any comments regarding the conflicts in death/and subsequent child's birth dates?

Well your feedback clears up MY questions and misunderstandings.

Thank you Lis and Inger.

This is the first time I have come across a separate listing of mother's return. Heretofore, I have always seen it noted in the Remarks section of the child's birth entry or as part of the descriptive information.

Again, thank you for the clarification.
