I am hopelessly searching for the christening record of Ane Jensdatter, born in 1766, presumably in Store Heddinge, Praesto.  She is living in Thomestrup By in 1801 with husband Lars Hansen (https://www.danishfamilysearch.com/cid940822).

According to FamilySearch indexing, there are four Ane Jensdatter's born in Store Heddinge in 1766 to these fathers:
1.  7 Feb 1766 to Jens Jensen:  https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:XYN1-798
2.  9 Feb 1766 to Jens Jorgensen:  https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:XYN1-79F
3.  14 Mar 1766 to Jens Olsen:  https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:XYN1-79J
4.  22 Jun 1766 to Jens Hansen:  https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:XYN1-79C

Store Heddinge 1766 døbt records begin at image #76 of https://www.sa.dk/ao-soegesider/en/billedviser?epid=17118800#156880,26303200 (lower right).

Unfortunately, I have not been able to find any of the entries for Ane Jensdatter.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Take a look at the 1787 Census https://www.danishfamilysearch.com/cid107937

Household
Rec. no.   Name   Sex   Age   Born Year   Marital Status   Information
164   Jens Olesen   Male   46   1741   Married   Husbonde Bonsk Gårdbeboer
165   Maren Henricsdatter   Female   40   1747   Married   Madmoder
166   Anne Jensdatter   Female   20   1767   Single   Deres barn
167   Lars Hansen   Male   22   1765   Single   Tjenestekarl Landsoldat

There is a Lars Hansen living with Anne Jensdatter and her parents. This may be the husband of the 1801 Census. The ages are close so this may be some information you are looking for.
Research Areas: Thisted, Aarhus, Viborg

Lynn,

Thanks so much for pointing that out!  I've had that census entry and never even noticed that Lars Hansen was living with her family!

I've had Ane Jensdatter as the daughter of the couple in that census, Jens Olsen and Maren Henricsdatter, but I began to doubt myself when I found this FamilySearch entry (https://www.familysearch.org/tree/person/details/KGSX-Q14) and her married to Hans Christensen (https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:FV5Y-K2C?from=lynx1&treeref=KGSX-Q14).  The christening record for her is on 14 Mar 1768.  That seemed too late for the 1801 census entry of age 35.  So I began looking for other Ane Jensdatter's born in 1766 or 1767.

However, a Lars Hansen living in that family just seems too coincidental to be wrong.

Careful now!
Ane Jensdatter married Hans Christesen:
Number 10 in 1787
https://www.sa.dk/ao-soegesider/da/billedviser?bsid=156880#156880,26303139
(betrothed)
https://www.sa.dk/ao-soegesider/da/billedviser?bsid=156880#156880,26303158
(married)

I found Maren Henricsdatter's probate record 1820, No. 96:
https://www.sa.dk/ao-soegesider/da/billedviser?bsid=141807#141807,34686663
Both Ane Jensdatter and her husband, Hans Christiansen, were gone, so their children were Maren's heirs.

This means that your Ane Jensdatter's father was not Jens Olsen.

Inge,

Wow!  Thanks so much for finding and sharing that valuable information!

May I ask what there is in the probate record that identifies Maren Henricsdatter's grandchildren as the children of Hans Christiansen and Ane Jensdatter?

Inge Hedal

Hi Kerry
In 1801 Maren Henrichsdatter is married to Søren Nielsen:
Præstø, Stevns, Store Heddinge Landsogn, Sierslev By, , 5. familie, FT 1801, A3920
Navn:    Alder:    Status:    Stilling i familien:    Erhverv:    Fødested:
Søren Nielsen     35     gift     Husbond     Bonde og Gårdbeboer
Maren Henrichsdatter     55     gift     hans kone
Ellen Pedersdatter     21     ugift     Tjenestepige
Hans Pedersen     18     ugift     Tjenestekarl

Jens Olsen/Olesen died in 1796, no. 29:
https://www.sa.dk/ao-soegesider/da/billedviser?bsid=156880#156880,26303286

Søren Nielsen and Maren Henrichsdatter married later that year, no. 15:
https://www.sa.dk/ao-soegesider/da/billedviser?bsid=156880#156880,26303160

In Maren's probate (1820) Søren Nielsen, the widower, says
that his wife's heirs were her daughter's children who were all of age and living in Sierslev, except a son living in Copenhagen. The children's father was farmer Hans Christiansen, who is dead. Their mother (also dead) was Anne Jensdatter. The children are:
Christen Hansen, 27
Henrich Hansen, 24, a soldier in Copenhagen
Niels Hansen, 22
Anne Marie Hansdatter, married to farmer Hans Hansen in Sierslev.

As you can see, Anne Jensdatter, daughter of Jens Olsen, is not the person you are looking for.

Inge
