Does birth record name mother?

Hello,

I have a birth record for Morten Nielsen born 1744 in Ting Jellinge, Soro to Niels Mortensen.  I think the mother is mentioned in the record because there are 2 Niels Mortensens in the parish having children at the same time.

One Niels Mortensen, my Niels, is married to Maren Hans Sorensens.  The other is married to Maren Peder Justsen as per the birth record for Just and Sovren in 1744 here on the right: https://www.sa.dk/ao-soegesider/da/billedviser?bsid=151941#151941,25272801

The father of Just is Gl. [Gamle] Niels Mortensen. Maren Peder Justesens is the godmother.

The father of Søvren is Unge Niels Mortensen. Marie Hans Sørensens is the godmother.

The father of Morten is Unge Niels Mortensen. Maren Hans Hansens is the godmother.

The name of the mother is not mentioned.

Thanks Inger!  So they differentiate between the older and younger Niels Mortensen and it looks like that Morten belongs to my Niels Mortensen.

The way these records are written, it should be possible to see the first name of unge Niels Mortensen's wife as the one presenting 'bearing' a child in these pages.   The wife of gammel Niels Mortensen may very well not be a Maren.

This is presuming that you have the marriage of the younger Niels M.

Thanks Ralph.  The parent information comes from their daughter Kirsten Nielsdatter who married 1st Anders Hansen and 2nd Hans Sorensen.  Apparently unge Niels Mortensen married Maren Hans Sorensens 15 Nov 1739 in Lynge but I could not locate the record.
