My 3rd Great Grandmother is Maren Justdatter b: 24 Jul 1792 Dover Hjelmslev Skanderborg, she arrived in Aarhus in 1822, Married Erich Lindhard Thomassen Weis 3 Dec 1823 in Aarhus Domsogn, and he died 3 Dec 1835 in the Vor Frue Parish. They had 2 daughters Anne Dorthea Weis b: 3 Aug 1826 and Waldborg Weis b: 20 Dec 1831.

I have located the following information for Maren Justdatter:  Birth entry, Marriage entry and Census information for 1801, 1834, 1840 and 1845. I do not find her in the 1850 Census.

In the 1845, I find Maren Justdatter in the Aarhus, Hasle, Aarhus Census, Searching on Mar% We% via using her husband's name Weis, she is a Widow living with one daughter Woldborg Weis, my 2nd Great Grandmother.

The census indicates that the census is for Aahus Købstad, Hasle, Aarhus and the Placename is: Hospitalsbygnin. I have looked in the Vor Frue and Domsogn Parish Registers but do not locate Maren Justdatter's death between 1845 through 1850. There are no registers for Aarhus Købstad.

Where should I be looking? What was the Hospitalsbygnin?

Any suggestions would be appreciated...

Thank you....

Thank you for your feedback and input. I have not used the Probate records to any degree before as most of my findings have come from the Parish Registers.

Gitte--- You indicated that only one entry in 1845:

CitatOnly one in 1845 in Aarhus Hospital

https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:3QS7-89W8-45YB?i=36&cc=2078555

When I look at this reference, the only 1845 entry I find is #52 dated April 16 for an individual named: M. M. Hinderup. In fact I do not find an entry for Maren Justdatter.

Am I missing her entry? OR, are you indicating that "there is only a single death entry for 1845", but it is not necessarily hers.

Again, thank you for the reference to the Probate Record and Ole thank you for the transcription and translation.
