Hi,

I found my ancestor in the Forsikringsprotokol of Anst herred in the early 1800s, at the bottom of the right page

https://www.sa.dk/ao-soegesider/billedviser?bsid=187053#187053,31729701

I have some questions:

1.  is there a way to know when this was written?  That would help tell me when Ole Krabbe's widow was still alive.
2.  What was the placat of 13 March 1813 and what was written then?  This is not the only entry with the placat of 13 Mar 1813 (image 107 upper right, image 108 upper left)
3.  Is that an amt tax on 12 Oct 1831?  Is that meant for the new owner Jep Pedersens Enke?   (I think that Jep Pedersens Enke is a different woman)
4.  Using the information here, what other records should I look for?

På forhånd tak.

Re 3.
I think that the Placat of March 13th 1813 contained provisions on conversion to Rigsbankdaler silver value of properties where the assessment had taken place before the state bankruptcy in 1813. If assessed  in Rigsdaler Kurant before 1807 the value in the new currency Rigsbankdaler silver value would be 60% higher.

Hej Lisa

ad 1 - This fire insurance prot. has been started 1800 and ended 1857. So OK's widow was there in 1800 - how long??

ad 3 - To be read 'omtaxering' - new taxation. The house seems to have gone from Ole Krabbe's to Jep Pedersen and later to
his widow. When it happened is unclear. The new taxation in 1831 did not necessarily happen at any of these events.
And prob. OK's widow is not the same as JP's widow.

ad 4 - You could also look into the Taxation protocols 1773-1798 for Ribe amt - Andst herred - Verst p. starting at
           https://www.sa.dk/ao-soegesider/da/billedviser?epid=15284310#187023,31721494 -  and 1800-1832 at
https://www.sa.dk/ao-soegesider/da/billedviser?bsid=187057#187057,31730614 but the parishes are mixed together.
If it's worth the effort, I am not sure.

Hej Helmer & Ole

Thanks for the replies.  Your answers to my questions helped me better understand the insurance record.  Today I started to find some of the deeds and I will have to work on this more tomorrow.
