Hello again - I am very grateful for the information that Inger has given me about my relatives (the Andresens).
It appears that I may not get all the death details that I need because of the destruction by the Prussian authorities of the Censuses between 1864 and 1920.
In your reply Inger, you mentioned that 2 of the sons went to America. How can I track down which sons they were and the details of their emigration?
My G Grandfather, Johan Christian Andresen, the 5th child, (B. 31/9/1843, D. 19/6/1925 in Maryborough Qld. Australia) arrived in Australia in 1865. His surname became Anglicised to Andersen.
Could this be a similar time to the two other brothers going to the USA and could it have been to avoid the Schleswig War?
I would really appreciate anyone's opinion on this or any other relevant information/dates that you can give me.
Many thanks and tak
Susan
