I have found the birth record of a girl baby in Fodselsstiftelse  there is two sets of numbers in different columns , one of the set of numbers corresponds with her parents.

As she is not with her parents in the 1834 census I looked for her death in Fodseelsstiftelse records and found instead of names in the name column there were numbers . one set was the same number as in her parents column in the birth record.

Would this indicate it is the same child?

Fødselsstiftelsen records: https://www.sa.dk/ao-soegesider/da/other/other-collection/11

You could try to look for her in the Main Protocol: https://www.sa.dk/ao-soegesider/da/other/index-creator/11/105407/16415203

If the child of an unwed mother died very young, it's usually noted in the Main Protocol, e.g.

https://www.sa.dk/ao-soegesider/da/billedviser?epid=16415203#6,2458 - No 6, Oline

It would be easier to help you, if you give a reference or link to the records you've found.

The Link

https://www.sa.dk/ao-soegesider/billedviser?bsid=148963#148963,24621006

The above is for the birth of Emma Carlsen  born 16 June 1824 .parents No 528 Frederich Carlsen and Christiane Elisabeth Neumann

This is the entry I found in the Death records on the 12 July 1827 just the number 528 listed in the name column

https://www.sa.dk/ao-soegesider/billedviser?bsid=203419#203419,38578915

I hope the links come through as this the first time i have used them

Your links work fine  :)

At the right hand page in the church book with Emma's birth: Anmærkninger  'Remarks':

No 526: hjemmedøbt og død den 16de Juni  ' baptized at home and died 16 June', i.e. baptized in the ward, not in the Fødselsstiftelsen chapel.

The Main Protocol: https://www.sa.dk/ao-soegesider/da/billedviser?epid=16415203#5,2008 - No 526

døde inden Mødrene udgik  'died before the mother was discharged': 16 Juni

The name of mother No. 528 is not revealed. _____________________________________________________________________________________________________________

No 528, who died 12 July 1827, was an unwed mother giving birth anonymously: Et hemmeligt fødende Fruentimmer.

Thank you so much for this information Inger.

Frederich Carlsen ( my grandfather x3) had such a sad life, his father murdered his mother by throwing her down a well . from his first marriage only my great great grandmother survived her mother died given birth to the second baby girl which also died.

With his second wife Emma and her two sisters had died by 1824, then Frederich died in 1835  ,his son Jorgen in 1838 and his mother Christiane in 1839.

So many deaths in those days.

Thank you for all your help.
