Is there anyone who could give me some information about hospitals or orphanages who received young women for childbirth and then taking care of adoption or leaving the children for foster care?

this was 1893, the young woman came from Malmö.

Would appreciate information alot

If you know the approximate birthdate, I recommend that  you start with the main protocol.
Please note that there is one for Fødselsstiftelsen itself, and one for filialerne (afdeling B).

I am truly grateful. I will dive into this.

The mother was back in Malmö by 5th of October. Do you have any idea about how long she might have stayed after the birth?
I have not birthdate.

Thank you so much!

It seems that the children stayed 10-14 days at Fødselsstiftelsen. I suppose the mothers stayed there together with the children.

Some of the children were transferred to Plejestiftelsen, and later given into the care of the mother or foster parents.

In some rare cases, the name of the mother is not mentioned, as unmarried women could give birth at Fødselsstiftelsen quite anonymously until 1 July 1908.

What was the mother's name? What evidence of the birth have you got since most women who decided to give birth anonymously just gave birth and then disappeared.

How do you know the mother was back by Oct.5 1893? Did she move to Copenhagen and then came back to Malmö?

I have seen Swedish women giving birth in Copenhagen giving the address of a private midwife. Those women were not anonymous.
