I think I have found the death record for my 6 times great grandfather Lauritz Hougaard.

As/Klakring, Bjerre, Vejle, Denmark parish records
1687-1755
Opslag 482
2nd entry from the top
Lauritz Hougaard died age 52

I was unable to find out if Hougaard is his true last name and not just something added to his name to differentiate him from another Lauritz but I could not locate a marriage record for him to see if that is the case.

I have also been unable to figure out who his wife was yet I have found a number of children.

Is someone able to read the death record to confirm that it was Lauritz Hougaard who died and not someone else?  Also, is Hougaard a normal last name?

I located siblings for Lauritz by the names of Knud Hougaard and Kirsten Hougaard.

I did a 'little' digging.  Among the Lauritz's is Lauritz Jørgensen, married Advent I 1704 (opslag 372) and noted as Lauritz Jørgensen in Stovgaard/Storgaard at the birth of Lauritz in 1706 (opslag 378, near the top).

I read Storgaard rather than Hovgaard in opslag 482.

Does this make sense in terms of your ancestor, Lauritz's son's birth?

The other Lauritz I have found married up to 1706 is Lauritz Olufsen, married in 1701, opslag 359.

It is possible.  I will have a look at all of the other birth records.

This is what I found via my post Anne Jensdatter (edited with new information).

In the 1753-1783 As/Klakring parish records I find the following:
Op 89 Jens Lauritsen Hougaard is betrothed to Mette Rasmusdatter 1756 (groomsmen Niels Midsen? and Morten Nielsen both of Klakring)
Op 90 Jens Hougaard married Mette Rasmusdatter 28 Nov 1756
Op 91 15 May 1757 Laurs Jensen is born/baptized
Op 96 16 Apr 1759 Anne Jensdatter is born/baptized (my 4 times great grandmother who married Jens Nielsen Falster)
Op 103 11 Oct 1761 twins Rasmus and Kiersten are born/baptized
Op 110 26 Apr 1764 Jorgen is born/baptized
Op 120 25 Mar 1768 twins Maren and Karen are born/baptized
Op 120 31 Mar 1768 Maren dies
Op 120 15 May 1768 Karen dies
Op 124 12 Nov 1769 Karen Marie is born/baptized
Op 134 20 Apr 1773 Maren #2 is born/baptized
Op 135 14 May 1773 Rasmus Jensen Hougaard dies
Op 135 23 May 1773 Maren #2  Jensdatter Hougaard dies
Op 170 26 Apr 1785 Jens Hougaard's wife (Mette Rasmudatter) dies age 50

The only record that I am confused by, given your post above, is the marriage record for when Anne Jensdatter marries my 4 times great grandfather Jens Nielsen Falster.

She was engaged to Jens Nielsen Falster 15 July 1784, and married him 22 Oct 1784, in Klakring.
1783-1814 As/Klakring parish records
Op 5
First record and 6th record from the bottom.

After looking at these two records again it now looks like Stovgaard to me and not Hougaard.

If she is Stovgaard and not Hougaard would this mean that my Anne Jensdatter born 16 Apr 1759 (Op 96) is not the same Anne Jensdatter?

Anne Jensdatter Stovgaard/Hougaard dies at the age of 90 but my tree information has her at age 89 at the time of death so all along I thought I had the right Anne Jensdatter.
1838-1861
Klakring parish records
Op 203 Anne Jensdatter died 20 Sept 1848 wife of Jens Falster.

I do not think Lauritz Ollufsen is my relation.  I saw his name many times in the parish records but the timing of his marriage and birth of children does not match my information.

As far as I can see, all of the events you have nailed down are in As, rather than Klakring.

Without getting into the As records at the moment, I would suggest that there was a Hougaard/Hovgaard in As and a Storgaard in Klakring.

The more I look at her name I think it is Stovgaard.  I am going to go back and look at the witnesses for Anne Jensdatter and Jens Nielsen Falster children.
