Hello,

Sebloe is the German name of the village. The Danish name would be Sebbelev.

I couldn't find her birth but I found a child baptized Helena Margretha b. on 27 Oct. 1801. Parents: Andreas Pedersen in Ketting and Cieilia Christensen (AO Ketting 1795-1814 image 23).

Now you may ask yourself what has this birth got to do with it?

In census 1845 there are these people:

Sønderborg, Als Sønder, Notmark, Dorf Almstedtholz, Instenstelle, 6, FT-1845, C0777

Andreas Andresen 53 Gift  Inste, Tagelöhner Nottmk
Cecilie Lyboe 69 Gift  dessen Ehefrau Ketting

This Cecilie might be identical with the mother in the birth record. Andreas Andresen is her second husband. (Andreas A. is too young to be the father.) Maybe Lybo/Lyboe is the name of a place/farm where Andreas Pedersen lived and was adopted later as a family name.

I could find the birth of Maria in Ketting (AO 1795-1814, image 37). She was born on Sep. 13 1805 as
Maria Lovise. Parents Hans Jensen Lyboe and Ana Catharina Hansdatter?

I looked at the marriage entry of Jens B. and Lucie H. M. (Ketting 1826-1838, image 109). One of the "forlover" is the bride's father. I can't tell if the word before Lybo is a name or a title. Then there is a remark which I can't fully read but it says the groom presented a certificate of some kind from Rendsborg.

I think the name LYBO/LYBOE means that the person (or his ancestors) came from Lyø, a little island between Als and Fyn (Funen).
So persons with the name are perhaps not related to each other.

Hej Eva,

There is a Lucia Helena Margrethe baptized in Ketting on 17 Apr 1803, parents Hans Jenseen and Anna Catharina Hansen, opslag 28 nr 7.  Because I don't know Danish I cannot translate the entry.

Lucie Margrete Boysen født Lyboe, age 54, died in Ketting 14 Oct 1857, opslag 308 nr 9.

In the baptism of the Boisen children the following Lybos are mentioned as witnesses:  Jacob Lybo, Hans Lybo, and Marie Lybo.  Perhaps a clue.

Med venlig hilsen
Paul

Hi Paul,

I must be blind. I looked over and over again without seeing the entry. It is no 17, image 28. It doesn't say Lybo but parents are Hans Jensen and Anna Catharina Hansen in Sebloe.

Maria Lovise born in 1805 is a sister. If Kari clicks on the link, she will see Hans Jensen and his wife Anna Catharina in Census 1803. At the time they have no children so they are probably newly wed. His mother is living with them, perhaps because Anna C. is soon going to give birth.
