Søren Pedersen & Stine Hansdatter - Vejle (maybe Jelling) 1800ish

Hi, I have hit a dead end with my g-g-g grandparents. I have censuses of 1834, 1840, 1845,and 1850

Søren Pedersen, b abt 1781
second wife Stine Hansdotter b. abt 1802
(my relative - Ellen Maria Sørensen, b 1836

But I can not find anything earlier, including first spouses.

There are many Søren Pedersen's born around this time in Vejle, but I don't know how to choose. Perhaps his marriage certificate states the parents?

Anyway, any help would be great!

Which parishes are those censuses from?  Generally the groom or bride's family is from the parish where they were married and lived, so it should give clues to know where these censuses were from.  Was it Jelling?

According to the 1845, 1850, and 1860 censuses, Søren Pedersen was born in Vindelev parish, Vejle county,
and Stine Hansdatter in As parish, Vejle county - and in 1834 he was a widower, she a widow.

It seems that Ellen Maria's parents were married between 18 Feb. 1834 and 26 Nov. 1836:

- he's a widower, she's separated from Christen Christensen. It's the 2nd marraige for both of them.

I suppose the step / foster daughter Maren Christensen (born in Hvejsel parish, according to the 1845 census)
could be Stine Hansdatter's daughter from the 1st marriage. Try to find her confirmation around 1840.

Their daughter Grete Sørensdatter was born in Skovbølling, Jelling parish, 4. Apr. 1823:

Maybe you can find children born before 1823 in the Jelling parish records.
