Thanks for your help, I have tried that site with no luck. I wish I knew which place to look for the marriage. I have the birth of Lars Peder Nielsen July 12 1869, in both Tornby, Vennebjerg, Hjorring
page 28 and page 67 Hjorring. Vennebjerg, Hjorring. The parents were unwed, Anne Marie Nielsen and Jens Christian Nielsen. Two more children were born in Denmark Jenny Nielsen Dec 27 1872 and Johan Christian Marius Nielsen  Jan 12 1875 the record says birth in Copenhagen I do think this is right.
  In 1876 Anne, Johan and Jenny went to the USA on the Mormon ship  SS Idaho. Jens and Lars came to the USA in 1877.  I am trying to help a lady find the birth of her grand father Johan.
