In this attachment is the record of my fourth great grandfather, Peter Wesselhoff and his marriage to Sophie Magdalena Stihr, and it was made known to me that it was in German, not Danish.   I looked up the church and found it had been the German Lutheran Church in Copenhagen.  I was wondering where I would continue to look for Peter and/or his wife in German genealogy?  I am also asking that someone who knows German check to see if an occupation is listed or any other clues about this couple.

Thank you!

Maybe someone else can fill the holes. But the profession "carpenter" is sure.

Carl Rudolph can as well be the brother of Peter Wesselhöft.

Zimmergeselle = journeyman (ships?) carpenter
Virgin 'Miss'
Contingent, should be 'banns read' etc.

I haven't caught the proper German word for the 'certificate', but it could easily be the permission from military superiors to marry.

No, it's the Cämmereyschein; as far as I know that some taxes were paid
